History

The "Go Villeneuve Go" was born in january 1999 after the pubblication on the italian magazines "Rombo" and "Autosprint" of two announcements by Katia Arduini and Barbara Battistelli, two girls who wanted to create a fans club for the Canadian driver.
There were many subscriptions immediately and after one year the members were about 80.
There were many activities in the club, like the pubblication of a fanzine monthly, fans meeting during Grand Prix, F1 test, car exhibitions.
Passing time the coordinators have become four (me included), the fanzine was riched by new columns, but.........
In the october 2000 two of the four coordinators have begun to having job and studies problems... and the fans club seemed to go to death.
For me was very difficoult to see that nobody did anything to save the fans club, so I asked aid to some friends of mine, Jacques supporters obviously, to save the club, and this is the result after an hard job!
In the 1st of january 2001 the fans club has celebrated its third year of activity, after a winter brake like the F1 circus, while has happened some changes... first of all a complete review of the coordinators, then a new fanzine every three months, new initiatives... and has been just these things have allowed many of us to meet ourselves and pass together unforgettable moments... due also to a mailing list created by Susy and managed by Christian and advertised by all of us. The first meeting was during the Imola weekend in 2001, in which we were about 10 in friday and 5 in sunday to defend the canadian driver from the Ferrari supporters...
Many meetings followed it in Monza, place of cult for all; every occasion was good for a meeting, to live an happy afternoon: F1 test, Formula Junior races, weddings, Grand Prix in tv...
But the event that has left the sign in all of us and that we tried to repeat in Imola 2002, was the big meeting in camping in Monza 2001... occasion in which three wonderful days have flown away and in which 20 persons have met, reviewed, fallen in love...It's impossible to describe in a few words what that weekend was... to many things to say, to many thankses to do, too little space to speak about it... But maybe the best way to understand what you can feel reviewing your best friends, after some months, it's partecipate and realize how beautiful is all!!!! After the Monza Grand Prix 2001 there was the Motorshow (italian car exhibition) in which there was 5 persons (the other were ills or stopped for exams)
Imola 2002 was our last metting race... F1 test of Monza 2002 was our last meeting on track... and waiting for other beautiful days like those we think with joy and nostalgia to that it has been...
